New York Outrigger

New York Outrigger has helped educate thousands of New Yorkers to be safe and confident paddlers while reaching millions of others through high-profile media coverage. Based in Chelsea since 1996, New York Outrigger continues its community mission of providing affordable recreational and cultural opportunities in New York’s waterways through the sport of outrigger canoeing. New York Outrigger operates out of the Pier 66 Boathouse located in the Hudson River Park along the West Side Highway at West 26th Street.

New York Outrigger offers free novice sessions every Saturday from Spring to Fall as long as the weather allows. These sessions are open to people of all athletic abilities who are interested in trying out the sport of outrigger canoeing.
